June 2008 -- Lake Stamford

The June Tournament was held at Lake Stamford. Higher than normal winds during the day made fishing a challenge at best. Forty-seven members and one guest fished the rolling waves and breakers as fishermen tried to hold to cover and fish the normally productive lake. Some very nice three fish stringers were weighed in difficult fishing conditions.

The top four finishers at the June Lake Stamford Tournament are:
Floyd Kaerwer, Jason Fry, Craig Townzen, Richard Lancaster

1st place = Floyd Kaerwer - 3 fish - 14.51 lbs
2nd place = Jason Fry - 3 fish - 11.77 lbs
3rd place = Craig Townzen - 3 fish - 10.94 lbs
4th place = Richard Lancaster - 3 fish - 10.79 lbs
13th place = Jay Miller - 3 fish - 6.43 lbs

Big Bass:
1st place = Floyd Kaerwer - 5.86 lbs
2nd place = Floyd Kaerwer - 5.61 lbs




Smitty Smith weighs in a record bass for the club in a regular tournament. The scale tells the tale about the weight. Congratulations Smitty for a terrfic 11.57 pound bass in the May Lake Ivie tournament.
